Why People Should Learn to Communicate

Since the start of time communication has been a necessary skill for all people to have. We learn to talk from a young age and to express how we feel through words. Talking is what makes people connect and share ideas that can lead to amazing outcomes in the future. As time has evolved so has the way we communicate with others, now we can talk through camera and messaging apps in the click of a button. We no longer need to travel thousands of miles to see or talk to a friend or a family member, we can just simply open an app, click a button, and press call. Communication is the key for any relationship and people should learn to communicate in order to maintain those relationships.
Why is communication such a huge deal? Well for starters is the main foundation in any relationship a person has. For example, when in a romantic relationship one of the main things every couple says to make a relationship last is to COMMUNICATE! In a relationship the couple should feel comfortable to communicate how they feel, but also how to say it. Learning how to communicate can save people from a lot of misunderstandings and arguments. Overall communication is a skill we should all keep improving on because after all our words impact others more than we think.
I know a lot of people who find it hard to communicate because they are shy or do not like to share what they feel or think, but is not something we should fear. I use to be one of those people who did not like to talk or say what was wrong and I learned how bad it is to keep things bottled up. Using our voices can be such a powerful weapon and more people should learn to use it properly. Words are sometimes used carelessly and it should be taken with more cautious because words are not just words. The use of words without care can become verbal abuse and that is just as bad as physical abuse. People who learn to communicate properly learn to express how they feel without hurting or offending others. After communicating with someone, one should feel good and understood after.
